Monterrey
Barrio Antiguo
Any Monterrey visitor’s schedule should include at least a couple of visits to Barrio Antiguo. If it is possible, make a visit during the daytime to admire colonial architecture that prevailed in Monterrey during the beginnings of 1890. Here you can feel what it was like to live in the times of the old Monterrey. Also you can taste a great number of delights, since some of the best, picturesque restaurants, bars and cafes are located in Barrio Antiguo.
Visit Barrio Antiguo again nightly, since this area is also “The Place”, of Monterrey’s nightlife and usually it gets really crowded on weekends when the local police close the streets to the vehicle flow. This measure makes easy to enjoy the area at your own pace and also provides the comfort of knowing that you are in a safe place.
