AthensAthens being the capital of Greece is part of the euro zone, which has led to an elevated price level. The city has developed from the former poorhouse to an expensive and chic metropolis. For the gastronomy you will have to pay more or less the same you would have to pay in every other middle European city. Especially in order to take advantage of the outstanding nightlife you have to disburse a lot, most often just as much as in cities like Paris, London or Milan, but it is worth it!
